Getting the Foundation right

Introduction

Before we can start we have to get the foundation of what we believe to be true right….

Jesus Taught…

Luk 6:46  And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Luk 6:47  Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
Luk 6:48  He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
Luk 6:49  But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.

Jesus, being a carpenter understood the importance of getting the foundation right because without that right foundation we may have built our value system on the shifting sands of others opinions.

Again Jesus speaking…

Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

If you are reading this then I have to assume you are looking for…   something you have not yet found.

Even U2 sang a song about this same topic. The GOOD news is I do have the answer for you and as you read on you will discover, as I did, the foundation of ABSOLUTE TRUTH that the rest of your life can be built on. And it’s not as hard as you may think.

Firstly I need to break the ground and do some shovel work and hopefully the above scripture has got your attention. So what was Jesus saying when he prophesied a future to come where he would say…

I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

Our Father in Heaven is not so interested in WHAT we do but more in WHY we do what we do. Even in our own families we should be more interested in WHY our children act as they do… after all it is this the initial reason they acted that way in the first place.

The primary foundational WHY many attend Church on Sunday is because they don’t want to go to HELL. Its all about self preservation and why not? nobody wants to burn in torment for eternity right.

So how do we know we are not the “Workers of  iniquity.”  Jesus was talking to… and can we prove it from scripture.

This is what I mean when I say it is vitally important we get the foundation RIGHT. The next great event to impact humanity is the Rapture. If we are not prepared and have our foundation built on the ROCK then we will without a doubt go through Hell. We are all right this moment going through a sifting process that IS the foundation for the next reality for humanity…

Mat 25:33  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Mat 25:41  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Mat 3:10  And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Mat 3:12  Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Are you starting to get the picture…

Fear not because this is only the introduction and here is a great scripture to hopefully get you back in the room…

1Jn 4:18  There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Our foundation is not built on FEAR but LOVE.
